In 1984 movie Conan the Destroyer. Actress Sarah Douglas plays as villainess Queen Taramis. We are entering the AI era, the AI art and AI way of thinking, nothing you can do about it, neither you should do nothing about it, a contradictory, and it makes sense..
People moving away from movies to other means of entertainment is like a festival that last for thousands of years that just stopped, that's why for me, watching what I already enjoyed, have some fun and that's it..
It must have been insane to watch this movie in 1984 with this music..
What makes a star a star isn't much about the number of movies they made as much how many quality movies they made, like, they can play a hero or a villain, and the movie they are in still holding a recognition, uniqueness and a high entertaining quality, this apply on Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gerard Butler, at least till the past ten years, because I don't remember any movie they made in the past ten years, but overall, what made them stars, is this, Gerard Butler making a romcom, it must be a good romcom, if he's making action movie, if Gerard Butler in it, it must be good, you know if you went to watch any movie with any of them, you know that you will watch it from start to finish, I can't tell anyone today, if they watch any actor or director movie, they would get a certain quality, and that any movie being made today can be a waste of precious hours of your time, that's why Youtubers started to being the stars now in movie business, because those who watch them, are aware of the quality they providing, and trust them if they made a movie, it will meet a certain quality and expectations..
This movie is so dumb, I miss these movies, you don't get dumb shit nowadays, because I'm the last dumb person left in the entire world and everyone else became hypersmart!!
WOW, we see Queen Taramis around 7 minutes..
Wait a minute, this movie is eerie similar to ancient Arabic story, the story of Antarah ibn Shaddad, it was even made a movie in 1961!!
It seems that Taramis is also a version of Disney's evil queen..
Watching this movie, I fail for find someone anything as beautiful as the evil queen..
19 minutes in and yeah, this story is absolutely influenced by the story of Antarah ibn Shaddad, that's why Hollywood don't make stories like these anymore, as I said, modern Hollywood, with their dark ages Christianity is far worse than reformed Christianity that used to exist in the 80s and 90s..
This movie wouldn't work if not for Arnold's muscles LOL, his muscles basically take your attention from anything else, that's nothing you can just replace with AI..
Watching the fight around 40 minutes, and there are so many jokes I want to make, I miss when they used to make comedy, that would be a hilarious comedic scene if done right, this scene need the people who made movies like Meet The Spartans to parody it..
Just because I enjoy 80s and 90s movies, it doesn't mean they are perfect in anyway, especially when I think the character is built on a villainous character, like the character of Conan..
What makes Antarah a better character than Conan, for me, someone who are into villainous character, not the mainstream, is Antarah was driven by very selfish and individualistic motives, yeah, he freed himself, but that was the easy part, the hard part is being a nobility, and marry the woman he loved as such.
In this movie, Conan was tasked to get a jewel, but they had to moralize it, he can't just fight and get the jewel out of his selfish motives, so they made the guardian of the jewel to take the heroine, who I didn't bother remembering her name, so Conan's acts became justified morally..
What made Antarah one of the greatest characters and he was also an artist, is that his acts were entirely selfish, very individualistic and pragmatic, you can see this in his poems like this one:
"My horse is a guide to death,
Waded through its dust.
My sword is a physician in battle,
Healing the head of whoever complained of a headache.
I am the slave about whom you were told,
And now you have seen me.
With my sword I have filled the earth with dread,
And my enemies found no escape from it.
When heroes fled in fear of my might,
Lands shrank to an arm's length."
He's basically saying that his horse bring death whenever it goes, and his sword is like a doctor, if you suffer headache, it cures it, there's no headache without head, only the "ache" left LOL, he also talk when the courageous heroes end up fleeing from him out of fear, he describe the land as if it shrank, and became too small for them to hide anywhere, which a very poetic way to say my hours is very fast that it will get them before they go far, but he uses the fictional aspect of it to make as if they land itself shrank or as if he got superpowers like Magneto for example to get them back to his feet..
That's why the character of Antarah and Antarah as artist was one the greatest of all time, an artist that was able to be popular from the far extreme to the far extreme and everything in between, so yeah, as usual, Hollywood take a great story and always make it worse..
Does it mean I don't enjoy the movie? No, I actually do, I just wouldn't watch it if not for the evil queen..
1 hour in, I love the sets in this movie, it looks great after all these years, that's why practical effects always one, you do the same with CGI, and it expire and be outdated in 5 years, while this movie will be watched 10 years from now, and people would still enjoy it..
The villains around 1 hour 11 minutes, look like a heavy metal band LOL, we really need bands like these tho.
Finally we see our evil queen around 1 hour 22 minutes, if I told you that I would choose anyone in this movie over her, I would be lying..
We see a waterfall afterwards, and it looks amazing, I don't know, should we accept that movies should be empty of such beautiful scenes like these and replace it with AI? I'm seeing a beautiful scene from more than 40 years ago..
Now, Queen Taramis is preparing the heroine to be sacrificed, and Conan is going to save her, the whole idea the movie started with, which was bringing his wife back to life, the whole reason of his quest, is gone, now we should care about the heroine, just because..
The final confrontation starts around 1 hour 27 minutes..
The monster with practical effects looks awesome, and the movie overall was dumb and fun..

In 1983 movie Hercules. Actress Sybil Danning plays as villainess Adriana.
Watching 1983 Hercules for the first time, the Hercules I've never known..
Why this movie looks so good? This is from 1983, it's unbelievable!!
This movie somehow feel like a christian religious movie, yet we get a villainess, so, I guess we should give credit to Jesus?
Religions as a whole a great source of stories, if you have a story that survived for thousands of years, that's a good story, it doesn't matter if you like it or not, people must've founded interesting or captured their hearts or minds that it survived till today, same with cultural stories that a culture keep repeating for thousands of years..
I wonder what people felt watching this movie back then, especially that Hercules: The Legendary Journeys didn't exist then!!
It's insane how free of restrictions this movie is, we basically getting high tech machines in a christian-like story with Greek theme!! I mean, killer robots VS ancient half Greek god, hell yeah!!
Around 27 minutes, after Hercules lost his father, someone called him telling him "Your mother in danger!" was like "What?!" and it felt like "Shit! Not again!" LOL!!
And we see the killer robot, this thing is awesome!! LOL!!
Somehow we don't get this stupid shit anymore, everything have to be smart, fuck that!!
This is so dumb and fun, I love it..
Hollyshit, this thing is really good, the way the director filmed the water filling the stable, wow!!
Finally we see the stunning Adriana around 44 minutes, as she captured Hercules and ordered her men to kill him..
I wish if I've seen Adriana more on screen..
Around 51 minutes we see Adriana again, her presence is insane..
About to finish 1 hour of the movie, and I can't believe that movies used to be that good.
Around 1 hour 13 minutes, the rope of chariot was broke, and Hercules was talking to Circe saying "Why did the rope break? What happened to your powers?" and Circe was like "You made me fall in love...and when that happens to a sorceress, she loses all her powers. l, the enchantress, have been enchanted." and it's so funny but in the most entertaining way possible, this movie is insanely good, I love it..

In tv show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys season 2 episode titled The Mother of All Monsters aired 1995. Actress Tyler Jane and Katrina Misa play as villainesses. I can't describe how global phenomena this show was, I remember as a child bought a poster of Hercules, kids were making songs about Hercules and Xena, Kevin Sorbo wasn't just a superstar, he was way more than that, he was an icon, with his photos everywhere, with everyone knowing him, like Marlon Brando and Al Pacino are superstars, Kevin Sorbo as Hercules was bigger than that, you can even say he was part of the culture back then, and I doubt any character will ever be as popular as Hercules was.. For me I started learning English by watching the show, Holllywood was like a magical place, like, you have great family entertainment like Home Alone, Baby's Day Out, you also have great action movies with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone, and Jean-Claude Van Damme, you also had great comedies, great horror, over the years and different stages of my life, I can find the movie or the genre I like, and it was always the best, and being able to speak and understand English seemed like accomplishment, today, I can't stand hearing English, in new movies I mean, I can't stand watching modern Hollywood movies and TV shows, I still enjoy watching movies I enjoyed once, but when it comes to new movies, I would prefer watching Chinese and Asian movies, even tho I don't understand what they say, which is different than how I used to watch movies in English, but what can you do? I hope China can fill the gap Hollywood left, maybe another generation can fell in love with Chinese movies and entertainment, that they also start learning Chinese like I started to learn English, and fell in love with Chinese movies and TV shows, like I once did with Hollywood..
Anyway, let's start the episode, let's escape to the world of fiction and the nostalgia to forget the bitterness of the current reality of Hollywood..
The movie starts with fight scene.. When it comes to shows like Hercules, the director plays a big part in making the fight makes good, and let's be honest Kevin Sorbo was casted to play Hercules because how attractive he looks, not because he was a great marital artist, so when it comes to fight scenes the patterns I noticed are these, having someone with experiences as a stuntperformer, like Jackie Chan who played as a stunt double for the main villain Fist of Fury, and as a henchman in Enter the Dragon, and of course Jackie's experience in Chinese opera helped him to come up with his own unique fighting style, anyway, in such case, you can the fight clearly, it's pure raw the fight feels as if you are watching a theater performance, you basically get the real deal, the stunt performer is performing in front of you, the other pattern which I absolutely loath and hate, like in The Bourne Ultimatum, I absolutely hate this movie, couldn't bring myself to watch it and never will, from the clips of this movie, the fight scenes are like cut cut cut, in order for the movie to hide a really bad fight scenes, it try to distract you that you basically can't see anything, but in order to give you the illusion of a fight scene is happening, another pattern is using a stunt double, so, the fight scenes you want to make good, you replace the actor with a professional stunt double, I see it a lot in Chinese movies with female characters, like, they often use male stunt double to do the jumping and the fighting when needed, and the last pattern is what you see in Hercules, instead of distracting you and due to the fact that the star isn't a professional marital artist, the burden lies on the director, the director have to direct your focus, not like modern Hollywood like Marvel and such, the director is leading your attention, for example with Iolaus in this fight scene, the director knows your focus is on Iolaus, so he fight a thug, and you only see the back of the thug, so Michael Hurst is basically hitting the air, and the stuntman is away from him, but the director knows that your focus is on Iolaus, so he basically predicts where your focus will be, in the same fight, Iolaus hit the villain in the crotch, so what the director did is leading your focus, you see Iolaus' full body, then the director lead you by focusing the camera on his arm, then showing the villain reaction, the shot on the middle with focusing on the arm could be filmed without the stuntman even being present, but that's how the director lead your focus instead of distracting it, same way with kick, you see for example Hercules in full body, then the kick in the middle shot, then the villain reaction, of course Jackie is the king yet sometimes these fight scenes are really hard to do, and some actors lack the experience to do it, especially Hollywood actors TBH, yet, unlike modern Hollywood this show doesn't want to distract your attention and ruin the scene for you, but instead leading and directing your attention..
I love Hercules intro, to be fair, it could be the nostalgia..
Hercules is an amazing show, this isn't nostalgia, I basically love two things Kevin Sorbo made: Hercules The Legendary Journeys and Meet the Spartans, watched other movies of him, but they were like christian boring stuff so I basically stopped caring about his new movies, still shows like Hercules enough to make him a legend, the character of Hercules in its peak popularity was the most popular character than any other character played by any action movie star at the time, and it's inseparable from Kevin Sorbo, as the character was made before and after him, but nothing comes even close to him playing it.
Echidna summoned the archers around 11 minute mark..
The villains in this episode make me laugh whenever they talk, and I love it..
We a villainess around 18 minute mark, and the archers apparently killed a man off-screen!!
This episode would be perfect if Hera was in it, but still we got practical effect in this episode with Echidna, even tho, Hera played by Meg Foster was the most memorable character of both Hercules and Xena show, according to the IMDB she only appeared for two episode that's how great Meg Foster is, I also think the element of mystery and how you always hear about Hera and what she do and those who worship her, and the visual of the fallen Peacock Feather with the sound, then when you see Hera with Meg Foster charisma, you just can't forget such character, it even became part of Arabs pop culture, just to understand how iconic this character was, you can even see today people asking clergymen if it's OK to have Peacock Feather at home fearing it will bring misfortune to their home, you can even find such Fatwas today on the internet dating back to 2002 when the show was popular in the Arab world, it's unbelievable!!
Around 23 minutes the archers made a trap for Hercules..
Echidna making me laugh..
The archers last confrontation is around 36 minutes, but they will appear again in another episode, so I will watch it too..
Let's start watching episode 6 of season 3..
The costume designer of this show, deserve her own statue, as far as I know it's mainly the work of Ngila Dickson, who was also the costume designer of Lord Of The Rings, that's why I said, aesthetically Hercules: The Legendary Journeys is far better than Game Of Thrones..
Echidna got a new baby, it's so cute, I wonder what gift should I bring to her, it's hard to know, Hercules would be a perfect gift, yet it's hard get him, but anything for a friend, right?
The fighting scenes in this episode shows an incredible director, incredible stuntmen above everything else..
Around 14 minutes we see Echidna's baby, what a beautiful family, like a perfect family indeed, like think about it, a beloved wife who loves her children, and also living in a cave, which means she's not into him for his wealth or money but really loves her husband, and a father who loves her, and love his son, and find him as the cutest baby ever, and even dance in happiness for him, which means he also truly loves Echidna, on the other hand you get Hercules, a mentally ill person who murdered his own family, like hollyshit, I don't need to say more, if he was my neighbor I would move to a different town as far as possible from him!
Ok, this is actually what I was talking about in this article, the idea of using the contrast between appeal and charisma with their immorality, and how it will also if reversed like a character that look really unappealing, but they act like an angel, like using a white lines on dark page or dark lines on white page, both create contrast for the targeted character and it works here with Echidna and her baby, like I get the show is a comedy, but you would actually get genuine emotion watching it, especially when Echidna cry πππ..
We see our villains again around 30 minutes, they take Echidna's son from Klepto, and the final confrontation starts around 36 minutes..
Wow, that was fun to watch..

Tyler Jane and Katrina Misa as evil babes in The Mother of All Monsters Hercules: The Legendary Journeys
Actress Name : Josephine Davison
Character Name : Princess Alexa
Year : 1997
In tv show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys season 3 episode titled War Bride aired 1997. Actress Josephine Davison plays as villainess Alexa.
Hercules will always be one of the greatest shows ever made, and I'm talking about one aspect that even Game Of Thrones can't compete with, and it's the aesthetic of the show, the costumes, the makeup, the accessories, the scenery, the design of the set, I wish if there was a HD version of the show, it's so fun to watch just by looking at it, even if there are other shows that came after it with better story and choreography and way more advanced CGI, the aesthetics of Hercules are unmatched..
When it comes to the aesthetics of Hercules, it plays a huge role to help the immersion in the story, it's very unique and gives the show its unique character, everything in the show is made to make you feel, the episode started now you are entering a different world, and the way they use nature and the idea of filming in New Zealand, give you the unique feeling that this isn't the world of this time, but it's a story from another time before the industrial revolution, this is so different from how most shows were made afterwards and how many of them are heavily dependent on the CGI..
Anyway, Princess Melissa was taken as she was asleep, and it's not clear who is behind it, but Hercules saved her not knowing who she was..
The action fight scenes are very basic, but with a professional camera work they look really nice, the camera is part of the action, it's not common to see camera work as good in fight scenes, it's also not easy..
Around 35 minutes, Alexa successfully tracked Melissa into a temple, and she intends that Melissa doesn't leave the temple alive to try to claim the throne, and we get Alexa's final confrontation..
