In 2001 movie Hard Knox, actress Simone Kessell plays as villainess Delicious Malicious. A movie staring Kim Penn with a villainess, that would be awesome. Most times I saw Kim Penn was a villainess, mostly small roles in Chinese movies, sometimes only a appear for few moments, so it's awesome to watch a movie starring her as the main character.
Kim Penn is one of the most beautiful actresses I ever seen in my life.
Checking her IMDB page, it's insane how someone can be so talented at all these things, from marital arts, to acting, to founding a company focus on security, or something, I don't know, it got so many words I don't understand, but wow, I wish I can be hired in her company LOL..
So many things happening in 5 minutes, Delicious Malicious attacked Niki Knox's father, and Niki Knox went to save him, but it was too late.
There's extremely rare cases of the heroine being the main character for me in a movie, and this movie is one of them, what I love about this movie, whenever I don't see the villainess on screen, I see the heroine and both are awesome.
Kim Penn is just breathtaking, and seeing her for a long time is just a blessing from heaven..
We get a fight between the heroine and Delicious around 35 minutes, I'm having so much fun watching the movie that I forgot to mention it LOL.
I think the last thing I watched of Simone Kessell was Yellowjackets, which was kind of entertaining, like, not very entertaining, like soap-opera/drama like TV show.
It's amazing how great this movie is, and it was made before June 2001, before the mass censorship and the surveillance campaign that took over the western world, and still getting worst and worst everyday, you may say the movie was made before the slow death of creative and artistic freedom worldwide along with privacy, freedom of expression and humanity in its way to loose everything including basic ownership by having everything permitted not owned and probably losing every single right humans gain with extraordinary sacrifices since The Declaration of Independence.
Anyway, let's go back to the movie, let's go back to escapism, a memory of a lost world..
Around 50 minutes Delicious pay a visit to Steve Hardman, who is kind of the hero in the movie, and this scene is kind of weird, like they go together to bed, I felt they knew each others, especially because Delicious was disappointed when Steve refuse to sleep with her because he thought about Knox, like, were they friends or something, how they know each others this good, I think they aren't lovers since Delicious already in love with Jackson, I just don't have any idea what's going on.
Around 57 minutes, Delicious kidnap the heroine's friend, Ellie, the heroine's other friend saw them taking her, and they took him too, LOL.
I love seeing Kim Penn delivering lines on screen, what a legend!
Around 1 hour 8 minutes we see the real stunt performance of Kim Penn, like, how the descended from the roof to save her two friends, the way she do high kicks is amazing, that's why she manged to be in movies with the legends of marital arts at the time.
That was funny, Jackson manged to get a god power, and then looked to the heroine and said "I demand you to love me" and she was like "Nah, I don't think so.", it's funny how Kim Penn is delivering it.
A really smart way to deal with the restricted budget of the movie, which is still a TV movie, especially back then, that they ended it with a really good plot twist and the movie actually had a really good potentials to have part two, I really like the idea, unfortunately Kim Penn didn't make movies after this one and the movie just had its open ending.
You can watch Delicious Malicious scenes in the movie here..
Kim Penn is absolute legend, started doing stunts and played in movies with Kung Fu legends, and her last movie, well.. I'm watching it 25 years after it was released, plus it's in a bad quality and I had a great time. It's very rare for me to love a heroic character, but it's Kim Penn, which prove my point, whoever nail playing the villain can easily play the hero, that's why many actors who are good playing a hero, suck at playing villains, for example, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Gerard Butler and Scott Adkins all did a great job playing villains, that's why it's easy for them to play any other characters including heroes, you also have Famke Janssen, and you can watch her in Nip/Tuck, which was one of the best Dramas I've ever watched, and I've watched tons of TV drama that there's no comparison to movies I've watched. On the other hand you have Sam Worthington and Tom Hardy, these two can't do play villains and I've watched both of them lately playing villains..
