Toyour Elzalam is 1995 Arabic movie about Fathy Nawfal played by Adel Emam, The movie introduce us to Fathy, the ambitious crooked lawyer, Fathy then got a visit from Qot, a villainess who murdered her husband and Fathy manged to save her from being imprisoned, they had dinner then they slept together.

Fathy then took a case of Sameera, a sex worker who was caught by the morality police, and found out that the judge is extremely religious, and she wouldn't have a chance of getting out if he's the one to take her case, so Fathy went to his friend Ali El-Zanaty played by the actor Riyad Al-Kholi, who is also as ambitious as Fathy yet he take cases of extreme religious groups, so his lifestyle is totally different from Fathy. At first Ali got so mad that Fathy asked him to take a case of a sex worker, but being a good friend he changed his mind and decided to take Sameera's case, after Ali took the case he pretended that he's defending her out of a religious principles and that he's totally convinced she didn't do anything, the way Ali looked and talked worked on the judge for Sameera to be win the case and be free.

Ali tries to convince Fathy to work for extremists saying it will be really profitable, Fathy refused, Ali then accused Fathy of being selfless and put morals over money, Fathy then defended himself saying that he's as selfish and as immoral as Ali, he just find the offer isn't suitable for him.
Fathy then met with his friend Mohsen, who is kind of the only moral character in the movie, they had a drink together, Mohsen probably appeared for two minutes or something LOL.

Fathy and Sameera then went together to a party of elites after he manged to win a case for a corrupt official, there he met Roshdy, a minister who will run for elections, Fathy took the opportunity to get close to him by helping him wining the elections.

Fathy met with his friend Ali to ask him for a favor, he wanted extremists to vote for Roshdy, then Fathy accompanied Roshdy to the streets so they can take photos with poor people to boost his popularity and make the illusion that Roshdy is a man of the people and he's running for election not out of personal gains, but for the people.
Now, it's Fathy's last move to assure a perfect win for Roshdy, Fathy met a police officer, asked him to arrest a drug lord living in the same neighborhood of Roshdy's opponent just before the elections, by doing so, Roshdy's opponent will have to use his influence to release him, but the officer will have to refuse, then it's Roshdy's time to shine, he enter the police station, asking for the drug lord's release and then they release him immediately, as a result Roshdy's opponent will lose his popularity, Roshdy on the other hand will be popular and earn the people love and support, and of course, their votes.
Fathy's campaign was successful, Roshdy won the elections, and now he got so close to Roshdy.
Out of love to his friend Fathy tried to help his friend Mohsen, so he secretly contacted his boss, and asked him to fire Mohsen from his job, Fathy knew that Mohsen wouldn't get rich doing his job, so he helped him losing it in order to get another one.
At the same time, Sameera due to her experience as sex worker seduced Roshdy in order to have more power, after Fathy recommended the place she's working in to him.
In the end both Fathy, the elitist government official, and Ali, the extremist political leader, ended up in prison, they met, everyone assured the other that they had precautions to ensure that they will get out, and played a soccer match together..
The moral of the story is how important selfishness is, thanks to selfishness Fathy and Ali stayed friends no matter which team they played in, while selfless people who followed either one of them not only hated each others but even killed each others and put their team above themselves, Fathy and Ali playing soccer at the end also have double meaning, that for them, it's just a game, both of them just want to score goals, but at the end they are friends.
