Movie Name : Paris Has Fallen
Actress Name : Ana Ularu
Character Name : Freja
Year : 2024
In tv show Paris Has Fallen season 1. Actress Ana Ularu plays as villainesss Freja. Having Ana Ularu as a villainess is just amazing, she's so gorgeous, and she's also a main character, it's so cool.
First of all, I don't like comparing shows with the movies they are based on, I think it's so unfair, like the show can be really great, but because the movie was also great, the expectation became sky high, so, I will take it as its own thing.
Let's start with the first episode, we have a beautiful likeable heroine, that's cool and evil mime guy. Our gorgeous villainess appear like in the first 5 minutes, she doesn't fuck around.
There's like a dance show in the embassy, I love it, it's very rare for shows to try add such shows within the show, it's really cool..Damn, the show ended, why did you do this, mime guy! I'm not sure I like u anymore :(.
The mime villain go after the heroine, they fought together and the heroine killed him, he was one of the most intersting characters, I wish they kept him little longer.
The action in this show is so 90s, it's so cool..
The show introduce us to our villainess Freja Karlsson, She was Swedish Special Forces, got kicked out
for assaulting an officer. And she worked
as a private military contractor for dictators, cartels.. What a great résumé, she would be perfect as a babysitter.
The show then introduce us to Karim Hassan, who seemed to be working as arms dealer, but after further investigation, they found out that his arms business is just a coverup to hide his strawberry trade, so the cops followed him to the market, and while he was finishing another strawberry deal, the good guys go after him, he fought with the hero in the bathroom, the hero end up killing him.. They killed him for loving strawberries 💔💔💔.
In the second episode our gorgeous villainess only appeared in the last third of the episode, she discovered a photo of the main villain Jacob played by Sean Harris with his family in Pakistan.
I think in one of of the movies of Gerard Butler series had a similar premise, like a villain that was wronged by the government, driving only by revenge, I can't remember which of them, but I'm sure it wasn't the first movie, been long time since I watched them. The show as a whole reminds me more of Bodyguard and less of Gerard Butler movie series.
I find this show like the best action show airing right now, I'm not sure if there are many of them anyway, the action is really great and well done, unlike many modern action shows the fight scenes aren't lazy, but a lot effort were made in order for this show to look good, I'm so happy they casted the beautiful Ana Ularu to play as a villainess, she's gorgeous. Can't wait to see what will happen in the next episode, hope the show stay as strong and gets better over time.
Now to the third episode, this episode is bloody, I honestly didn't expect that from a french show, let's see what our villainess will do this time.
I really think this show taken the name of Fallen series really hurt it, they could make it under a different name, as it's ridiculous to think a show will be filled with action like the movies, the show have a lot of investigation which may make it feel slow, not saying it's a bad show, it's one of the best shows on air, still it's taking a really different route from the movies.
Our villainess didn't do much this episode like taking over a bus, filming the main villain, the show seems that it will be about the main villain going after the people on his list one by one in every episode till the end things will escalate to the highest point, also the main villain and Freja seemed to be alone, but suddenly in confrontations with the heroes suddenly multiple bad guys appear which kind of feel weird, like how many people they have, or they are actually alone and the other guys are sent by a third party, don't know.
Now to episode 4, shouldn't the movie called Paris will fall or something, or at least call it "Paris is falling", anyway, they heroes now have to protect the president, because she did some bad shit and now on the main villain's list.
Nice, we have a gun fight at the start of the episode, if this was a modern Hollywood show they will go after the villain and then sing and dance together.
So, the heroes cornered the bad guy, he hid behind the car, they asked him to put his gun down and show his hands, he didn't do it, because he's a french and they were speaking English, so he stood up trying to ask them what they were saying, once he showed his head, one of the heroes shot him, guess we won't need a translator anymore.
We see our gorgeous villainess talking to some businessman on the phone plotting to do nasty stuff.
We then see the main villain standing, we only see he's face and it looks like he's meditating or taking a leak, could be both.
The hero then felt weird that the heroine didn't insult him for a while, I mean, dude, If you really into that, just watch any big budget movie.
The heroine then asked the hero when he started to sleep with the president, and he was like "How did you know?" and she was like "It's all over the internet, look I shared it on my timeline, it got hundreds of thousands of views" unfortunately, we don't see the video, we only hear the sound of a whip cracking and him screaming.
We have a good fighting scene with some guy the heroine found on some airfield while she was tracking the villain, Tanja Keller is also a part of this show as a stunt double for the heroine, so having good fights is to be expected.
Ok, this episode is different, the villain this time isn't going like after one person, now he have bigger plans.
We have a good fight scene on the plane, this is actually look way better than modern Hollywood TV shows, like the idea of going out, fight on a plane, gunfight and really good fight scenes, it's really really good, I would even say it's as good as action movies, maybe better.
This episode was actually better than the previous one, it really pushed the show forward, there are many events, and the tension is kind of high now, we now get how the main villain plan for Paris to fall to get his revenge from the president, we had good fight scenes, none of them were important characters, still it looked cool, the episode also have two other female villains, they didn't do anything, just kind of spies for the main villain, we also introduced to another character towards the end of episode who could be a main character, anyway, a lot happened this episode.
The show doesn't overthink things, like for example the villain moves so freely as if it's lawless country or as if the heroine and her partner are the only cops in the whole country which is ok, because if it was realistic the whole thing would've ended in 5 minutes LOL. So, the show understand it's for entertainment and focus on the action.
Now to this week episode, first of all, you have to watch modern Hollywood shows and see how bad and bleak they are to get how good this show is, like the lighting is really good, filming in the streets, it's like good old entertainment, it's what you should expect from a modern action show.
TBH, I wish if the villains had it more hard, like close confrontation, or at least fear of being caught, I don't get why things is so easy for them and walk so freely, it doesn't make sense to me, it doesn't ruin the show for me or anything, still it would make it more intersting, I get in the movies things was easy for the villains, yet in a show it doesn't work the same way as a movie have very short time in comparison so it make sense to have fast action and less focus on such things.
I love the scene when when the main villain was asked by Farid, "When we kill everyone who wronged you, you think you will find peace?" and he replied "There's no peace to be found, not anymore, not for someone like me.", god I love good writing, I really really miss that, not some soulless writing seems to be written by AI, and the background music, the show have a music that puts you in the mood, something modern Hollywood also lacks, and when they have music, it's extremely boring and annoying.
I knew Farid would be a main character and the actor is really good, I love watching him, it's so cool, I'm curious how he knew Farid.
It's always confuse me with these French/English shows, like everyone is bilingual, in a way that doesn't really help the story, it kind of disconnect you from the show, especially when it's like two sentences are English and the next are french, like how the actor can even do their best delivering the lines with emotions with such confusion!! Like it's so obvious that some actors can deliver lines better in French and vice versa.
Ok, the main villain said goodbye to Farid, TBH, I thought he will just shoot him after he finished with him and got what he wanted, which would be a lazy writing, gladly I was wrong, the writing is really good, the main villain have a complicated character and you can understand his actions, it's not a two dimension villain, which kind of the mainstream in entertainment nowadays.
You know the villainess in the previous episode her name is Esin, the rest about her is a huge spoiler.
Ok, Esin is calling her boyfriend and he's like "I want to come with you." and she's like "No, it's too dangerous.", like more dangerous than him dying when your potential father blew up Paris!!
Finally we see Freja, like when the episode is about to end.
Ok, finished it, things what I really didn't like before like how easily the villains avoid every tough situation is now fixed, every episode is better than the one before it, I really like this show, Freja was really a badass this episode, a nice gun fight towards the end, really good writing, great TV, see you next week, Freja.
Let's see this week's episode, I won't lie, I don't like the main villain, like they caught him and instead of him making so ridiculous evil laughs while saying "You all gonna die" or "I wanted you to catch me" with his eyes looking crazy or something, he keeps whining, like gonna cry!!
After the main villain finished whining, now the heroine is whining 🥱🥱🥱.
Freja is putting a plan to free Pearce, like, why even do you need him? Like she doesn't have feeling for him, her boss can continue his evil plot without him, Pearce never seemed to be a mastermind or anything, TBH, he obviously seemed like a scapegoat.
This episode seems so similar to Unthinkable with the heroine being like Henry Harold, yet she's so nice and so cool speaking to Pearce that it really doesn't land and barely seems threatening, Pearce also barely seems threatening, I think they want us to feel like there's a tension or something in the scene, but it just doesn't exist, it's like two boring friends speaking to each others while having a coffee, I won't lie, I didn't like her confrontation with Pearce, I don't feel any tension, like, I would be more emotional if Pearce scammed 100$ out of me, while the heroine is so cool, and Pearce too is kind of lazy, the scene doesn't feel right that's all.
Now it's the hero integrating Pearce, Ok, now I get it, they follow very advance technique in integration called "Boring the suspect to death", I'm watching them integrating him and I'm already willing to admit anything to make them stop!!
Damn, it seems we have another villainess, Simone played by actress Nagisa Morimoto is a villainess too, she's so gorgeous and merciless, I love her 💖💗🥰💞.
Run, Simone, run!
What I liked the least about the episode is the confrontation between the heroes and Pearce, it felt like absolutely nothing, what I like the most is Simone, another favorite character for me in the show, so the episode has it's high and low moments, it was so predictable that Freja will free Pearce and there's another hidden villain, and I really don't mind it, still, what it means that he was caught to save his daughter if he can easily get out again so easy!! the moment in the last episode now feel like nothing, I think the confrontation could be much better over all, can't wait to see Freja and Simone next week ❤️❤️❤️.
Ok, Simone isn't actually a villainess, so she was removed, now it's only Freja, if she turned good too gonna remove the post, and they tell me that modern entertainment don't ruin villains on purpose LOL, and that this fandom when criticizing Hollywood for ruining villainess, it's unjustified, Hollywood hate the idea of villains, want to control your fantasy, they can't stand the idea of letting you feel except what they want you to feel, that's I think slasher movies and old movies and shows are the only thing you have to get good entertainment nowadays, other than that it's just propaganda trying to create people with blind obedience. Anyway, we still have Freja, she made it clear she's doing it for money, probably need the money to treat her son or some shit, honestly my expectations is so low, like whatever, will probably stop watching it, instead of ending up hating the character, so long, Freja, goddess of love and war ❤️❤️❤️.
