A good old iconic Chinese action movie would be great to watch now, a true action movie, no censorship, no sanitization, no Hollywood thought police supervision, a good fun time that really needed.
Good the movie start with a bad guy with an evil laugh, which is like a music to my ear, which reminds me, Fuck you, modern Hollywood.
The authenticity in this movie is heartwarming, you can feel it from the imperfection of the places where the movie is filmed, unlike modern movies, even the good ones, like they film in some perfect clean place, that it feel as if it's generated by AI, which kind of make the movie look boring.
We have a really good fight between the heroine and a villainess called Yuki who is a Japanese assassin in the evil organization, and after the heroine defeated her, she took her cloths and impersonated her to infiltrate the evil organization.
At the train station, our gorgeous henchwoman was waiting for her, she made the heroine to change her cloths in front of her, and wear some new cloths she got for her in order to make sure she doesn't have any tracker or bugs on her, I mean, that's a villainess that doesn't fuck around.
It's infuriating that Hollywood bombarded us with trash for years with movie with female-led, yet we don't have a single movie that as good as a movie made more than 30 years ago, bad ass female villains, bad ass heroine, the movie also looks extremely good three decades later..
The heroine went to meet our evil boss, and for our blond villainess to know if she's the one she wanted, she decided to test her, by ordering her men to attack her, and she manged to defeat them, and Moon Lee is really good marital artists, so the fight looked really good, the golden age of Chinese cinema, I wish if we had anything near that today.
I had more fun watching only 25 minutes of this movie more than what I would get watching 99% of modern movies.
Two minions of the evil organization decided to escape and caught, because "The training is too hard", and our villainess was like "Once you join, the only way out is death." and she has a point, why would anyone would leave her organization!!
So, she give them a chance to fight the heroine, and failed to defeat her, for our villainess to finish the job.
The male villain from the start of the movie is absolutely useless, it's weird that the movie till now never mentioned the name of our two main female villains, which is kind of weird.
I love that the knives have its own sounds, same with the kicks and everything, I don't care if it's not realistic, fuck realism, it's more fun that way.
The movie shifted now towards the hero for a while, it's like two story lines in one movie, I wish if it focused more on the heroine and the villainess tho.
I reached the scene with the villainess being massaged naked by the henchwoman around 1 hour time mark.
The heroine then fight the bad guys after they caught her trying to leave the room she was in while spying on the villainess, and the fight is damn good, you would never see fight as good in movies today, I get why they don't make fight scenes like this today tho, and I get it, because some of the stunts can result in injury, but it looks so good, and I think it can still be done by professional today.
Ok, the heroine jumped from the window, and it's obvious the jump was made by a stuntman, which is cool. Again, we go back to the useless male villain with military suit, it's like he's there to fill the time.
Now we have the biggest attack of the evil organization around 1 hour and 10 minute time mark, and it's awesome, it's like a war, tons of stuntmen on motorcycles with machine guns, fights, explosions, even jetpacks, it's wild.
This movie is made like a game, things doesn't have to make much sense, but you know you will get a lot of action to keep you entertained.
I really had a great time watching the movie, it's one of the movie that you turn your brain off and just enjoy the action and fight scene, and they are really good, from the gun fights, to the knife fights, to hand to hand combat, the movie keeps you entertained from start to finish.
