Year : 1966
In 1966 movie The Silencers. Actresses Nancy Kovack and Daliah Lavi play as female villains Barbara and Tina.
God, Austin Powers was absolutely based on this movie, which is funny because this movie is supposed to be a comedy and Austin Powers' movies basically a parody of a parody, like in the movie you have a character called Lovey Kravezit, and the hero's reaction is exactly like Austin Powers reaction after he heard the name of Alotta Fagina in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.
Just after that, we go straight to the evil organization headquarters and they are so fun to watch.
Around 18 minutes timemark, the hero entered his apartment to find the gorgeous Barbara waiting for him, Barbara seduces the hero, and he's not resisting, and as she's about to kill him, Tina intervened and saved the hero.
I heard that Austin Powers will have a reboot, and the thing is, such franchise is based on action movies, what is the point of having a parody of action movies if there aren't watchable action movies, same with the reboot of Scary Movie franchise, if movies sucks and aren't made for entertainment but for preaching as if it's a church mass, then making fun of it is like making fun of the church, which is a big sin in the west, and they can never do it and whoever do it probably face persecution, like what's the point!!
Ok, the movie isn't as funny as watching a comedy from late 90s and 2000s, but it has it's moments, like how
Gail Hendricks spilled a drink on the hero's lap, and was apologizing to him and went to clean the drink from his pants and he was like "It's alright, no need to do that.", I mean, most of the comedy in the movie is probably outdated, still, some of them is still funny today.
We first see
Sarita around
37 minute time mark, Sarita dance performance and her singing is just beautiful.
Around 51 minutes, Matt Helm, the hero kissed the gorgeous Tina, and she warned him of Gail Hendricks.. Some of the practical effects in this movie is really cool, like how the main villain drove his car out of a van to go after the hero and the heroine and the car chase afterwards.
Gail Hendricks is the funniest character in this movie..
Finally we see our gorgeous villainess once more around 1 hour 24 minutes, it's kind of weird because she was like a steady main character till half of the movie and just vanished till now and the focus shifted towards Gail Hendricks. Just finished the movie, that was stupid, but at least was watchable, have some funny moments, but it's a 60s movie, so the comedy feels tamed, the fight scenes looks stupid but not in a way that accomplish comedic effect, but at least it was watchable unlike modern western movies.
