In 2014 movie The Raid 2 AKA Serbuan maut 2: Berandal. Actress Julie Estelle plays as villainess Alicia. Damn, this movie is long, more than two hours, wish it worth my time. I love how the movie have the unique Indonesian style, Indonesian movies are often superior when it comes to action and horror, basically, we should give Indonesia action and horror movies, give India the drama, give Korea the romance, and give Hollywood the finger. The first fight is around 15 minute mark, fucking hell, it's brutal, he's fighting dozens of people and he's like a machine, the director of this movie, Gareth Evans, is also the director of Havoc, so, here's the thing, is Tom Hardy capable of making such awesome fight scene, and can Havoc be as good as The Raid 2 under Netflix thought police supervision? I doubt it, that's why it's better watch or re-watch this movie than watching a sanitized, censored, modern thought police products. The scene with the rain, the suspense, how everything slows down is just amazing.. Then everything became crazy, the way he broke that man leg, then arm, then finally killed him, fucking hell. The fight scene in the prison, is like, so dirty, so bloody, so unclean, so iconic.. Half hour in, didn't get bored or checked my phone, which is kind of cool.. Finished one hour, still watching, and it seems we have another character with machete, damn, he's so cool, like, great fight, also the machete scares the hell out of me, it's one of the most scary weapons in movies, even if it probably won't kill as many people as a machine gun for example, but it feels scary as hell. His fight scenes are so cool especially the one in the nightclub, I know we would never get a movie like this ever again, it's not like a perfect movie, it still lack cool music scores, but no action movie today can be compared to it, you have to thank Hollywood thought police for that, it's not like I want to watch many movies like that, but watching movies like it once in a while would be cool. Damn, the fight of Alicia in the train is so brutal, the way she uses her hammer is so bloody and merciless and cold, she's more brutal than the bat guy. I don't know how is it possible to have all of these stunts, fight scenes, car chases, in a single movie, the fight scenes are enough to fill a TV show, like WTF, I can't even imagine modern Hollywood capable of making something like this, even without thought police involvement. Ok, believe it or not, the fight with our villainess and Baseball Bat Man played by Very Tri Yulisman on one side and the hero on the other side are like the least violent fights in the movie, so you can imagine how violent the other fights are, even Alicia other fight is so brutal and so bloody in comparison, yet these two are like the most humanized villains, minor villains anyway, as they had so little screentime in comparison with Uco played by Arifin Putra, like the way Baseball Bat Man went crazy when she was about to die, like, I would've gone crazy too if I were him, as for the rest of minor villains, they are in a way dehumanized, like they lack unique character, and they are so many, and kind of looking the same as appear and die instantly, you can't humanize such villains, so, yeah, they are both my favorite characters in the movie. Julie Estelle made another movie with Iko Uwais called Headshot, it's probably as I said, people wanted to see her again, and I did watch it back then, because I really wanted to see her again in a movie, yet she wasn't a villainess in the movie, as I remember she was redeemed, but at least she had bigger role, and she had lines, unlike this movie.
