Movie Name : The Acolyte
In tv show The Acolyte season 1 aired 2024. Actress Amandla Stenberg plays as villainess Mae Aniseya. I had to watch The Acolyte after all it's a villain show and promoted to be evil and such from its critics, on the other hand the two reasons that I haven't watched till is how Leslye Headland was talking about devillainizing villains, which is like so many shows making villains act like heroes, and fight bad people who are "villains villains", like don't kill them villains then if they will act like heroes!! The second reason how in the interviews talked about self-insert in the story, and self-insert isn't a good thing, because it will mean putting the character above the story, as something the person behind out would never do, the character also wouldn't do because the writer would fear that people have negative feelings about the character, so we basically have two restrictions that would make the villains less intersting, at least for me. Anyway, let's check it out, Ok, awesome start, If it kept this way, maybe I will even defend it, I would prefer the fight was a male hero tho, like how a villainess go after the hero, and then he fights her, then the expectations being diverted, this would be diversion that I would like, also, I love Carrie-Anne Moss and everything, yet, I'm sorry, I don't buy her being a great fighter. I wish I saw the CGI things less, there's a problem with the voice synchronization make them so uncomfortable to watch, also the voice tune doesn't really fit the character, I think it's too low for the character, don't know, wish I saw them less.

Ok, the first episode is so good, the fight is really good, the graphics is really really good, I like the escape scene, TBH, it would be better if the fight was towards the end of episode and the episode lead to it, and we get surprised that Osha is bad but then we know it's Mae, that would also make Indara's death impactful, because, let's be honest, no one cared about the character, and people who cared, they cared because it's being played by Carrie-Anne Moss, not that they actually care about her character as they know nothing about her, the show needed a zero episode before this one, anyway, gonna continue watching and update the post, so far so good.
