Movie Name : Men in Black II In 2002 movie Men in Black II. Actress Lara Flynn Boyle plays as villainess Serleena. There are two ways to see movies, one of them is the literal interpretation that aliens are creators coming from the sky, or how I tend to see movies and how I still enjoy movies till today which is the figurative interpretation which means that the movie is about immigrants who look different and even can have more power that humans don't, this is so obvious when Jay the hero start to speak the language of some alien in the post office and then he showed Kay that everyone working with him is an alien, even the one distributing the mails very fast, then Jay told Kay "Why you think you are so comfortable here?", which would make so much sense if you think about it, as immigrants usually accept lower salary and have to be very skilled workers in order to mange to immigrate in the first place, of course that's not necessarily what the writer meant, I mean, I find any villain represent free will, so, I don't think every writer write the villains to represent what they like, it's just how I see it, and I don't like a narrative that tries to enforce me to be pro-heroes or be good or love good people, and I don't want to enforce my narrative on good people and try to make them evil, I prefer that evil people like me and also good people can both exist and give us a good story, doesn't matter if the story with the hero as the main character or if the villain is the main character, around 100 minutes of screen-time can sustain both of us. Our beloved villainess tried to reason with one of the heroes, and after she made him a generous offer, and trusting him to do the wrong thing, he tricked her and exploited her generosity against her :( Thankfully she manged to contain his threat and dominated him. Around 53 minute mark, Kay found out a nation of tiny aliens who worship him in a closet, let me be clear, I'm not saying that's what the writer meant, that's my evil mind interpretation of it, the way I see it is represents an actual historical event about a tribe in South Pacific of Australia that never saw planes before, and believed that gods come down from the sky, they had no idea that planes exist or how advanced other parts of the world are, so when they saw planes for the first time, they thought the people on boars are gods so they started to worship them, so basically the hero represents what the tribe thought to be gods coming down from the sky, does it mean that the movie meant that, doesn't matter to me, I will interpret the movie the way I want, that's my freedom of thought, I can think the way I want, not the way the narrative wants me to think. The heroes meets Newton played by David Cross, I remember this actor from Scary Movie 2 playing as Dwight, I miss Scary Movie franchise, I guess Hollywood morality police hate comedy, so except some few shows like Abbott Elementary you can't get a good comedy nowadays, and for edgy comedy like Scary Movie it kind of don't exist like at all!! Our beloved villainess took the good girl after she changed her voice to sound like the talking dog, I know it sound crazy, but it makes sense in the movie LOL. The heroes went back to the headquarter that our beloved villainess took over in order to save their heroine, our gorgeous Serleena caught one of them, sadly they defeated her, I watched the movie long time ago, still it was fun to rewatch than most movies made this entire year, Serleena is one of the most iconic female villains of all time, I love her so much 💖💗🥰💞.
