In 2024 movie Jungle Chase. Actress 高琳 AKA Gao Lin plays as villainess Gesang.
The movie started with the hero being stranded in the forest after what it seems to be an ambush, then we see dozens of Chinese SWAT officers raiding some place, the bad guys are fucked, they are facing entire army, I can't believe the main bad guy tried to escape, it's over, dude, can't blame him for trying tho.
Ok, so they give us good car chase scene, and the bad guy got out of the car and followed by the good guy, then the car exploded, so, here what I think, why the car exploded, it's meaningless, it serves nothing to the story, even if it means that the car can't be used to escaped, still it shouldn't be made like that, at least use the explosion for another purpose, like distracting the bad guy while he's having the upper hand, maybe it will have a significant purpose later, let's see.
So, they caught the bad guy easily inside the building, like, what was the point of all of that, the chase, the tension, the car explosion, it was so easy, not even a brief final fight!
Damn, they have bad guys speaking dubbed English LOL.
Ok, so the hero was ordered to infiltrate the bad guys gang, he easily did, then took a bus with them, while entering the bus an office who knew him saw him, and went into the bus, I didn't expect that, but the hero blew his cover to save the other officer, I like that, he didn't go make some stupid BS about "I'm a bad guy, but I tell you to do the right thing for some Bullshit reason", No, the officer entering the bus blew his cover and that's it, wanna see the exact opposite of that, watch Detective Elliot Stabler in Law & Order: Organized Crime, the show is torture to watch, the bad guys miss 1000 red flag that he's undercover cop, the man can go in his uniform, gluing his badge on his forehead, and waving Blue Lives Matter flag in front of them and they still won't get he's a cop, and get him closer to them anyways.
The hero's father-in-law is really good at fighting, probably better than the hero, I like him, I wish if he was the hero, he looks like Chinese Rambo, while the hero looks like K-pop singer LOL.
I love the scene when the father-in-law threw a bomb, and for a moment I was like "This looks stupid, the bin still in" then it turns that it was deliberate to make the bad guys take cover so he can save the hero, cool.
So, the hero stole the hard drive of the main villain, the villain then sent our gorgeous and deadly villainess Gesang after them, Gesang is a professional sniper, so, she went after him and hunted him with the rest of the bad guys in the forest, the cops also came to rescue the heroes, and the heroes while being hunted set many traps to the villains, especially the hero's father-in-law Yuan Haiyang, who had really great and honestly surprisingly great fight scenes in the movie.
Ok, the bad guys caught Yuan Haiyang, and Yuan Haiyang was telling the bad guy, "Kill me if you have the guts" and the bad guy shot him without hesitation, and the Yuan Haiyang was like "You Jerk!", I mean, you asked for it 😂😂😂.
Ok, the bad guys released Yuan Haiyang in exchange for the hero to surrender to them, Our lovely villainess Gesang aiming the sniper on Yuan while he's walking away and the hero closing in.
The SWAT army marched in, which is so expected, the SWAT army is one of the biggest weaknesses of this movie, because of them, there are nothing at stake, there's no chance at all, no risk, nothing, it would be better if the movie was happening in like WW2 with Japanese soldiers and they went after the heroes to hunt them and the heroes being forced to survive and win.
So, Liu Wei, the officer who took the bus and made the hero blew his undercover was shot, the man was chatting with his friend during intense shoot-out, that was stupid.
Ok, the movie is so fun to watch, Gesang is my favorite character, I really love her, I wish she had more screen time, especially since the beginning of the movie, the movie get better and better over time, the fighting scenes are really good and fun to watch, the jungle huny is also really good, overall the movie was fun and entertaining.
