In 2017 movie Chí phèo ngoại truyện. actress Nam Thu plays as villainess Kieu. The movie starts with Jolie a gorgeous lady in red dress, I assume she's the heroine, the movie looks beautiful and colorful, it seems like the bad guy making a bride to poison her groom in order to get rid of him, after he convinced her to marry old man that she doesn't love, while she actually love the villain.
He have evil laugh, I love that, although I prefer villainess evil laugh, it's cool anyways.
So, the heroes try to save the poor guy from drinking the poison that the evil bride put in his drink, and they ruined a totally different wedding LOL.
I like the heroes TBH, they are so funny and likeable, I really like Na played by Trang Thu, You can't help but liking her character. Na was assigned a mission to find a missing cat instead of real police work, the poor thing.
While she was investigating a bad guy catches her, tries to kill her, but let her go when another bad guy approached, I really love how characters in this movie are so unique and so fun to watch, many platforms, especially Disney are so artistically bankrupt, they can't even write villains, and you can't help but feeling apathy towards all their characters.
Again another fun evil laugh by male villain, the villains have a great fight scene, Na caught in the middle of it, the fight is this weird mix of extreme seriousness and comedy, and it works somehow.
The heroine is trying to escape on her pike, she's looking for her helmet, instead of running for her life, she's looking everywhere thinking someone stole it and it's on her head LOL.
Na found out that Chi Pheo played by Tien Luat who was one of the villains fighting, the same villain who tried to kill her is actually a snitch and worked for her late brother, so she decided to work together against the bad guys.
It seems like Kieu our beloved villainess played by Nam Thu is trying to frame Chi Pheo with the murder of "Grime Reaper", a gang leader who adopted Chi Pheo as a child. TBH, communist countries don't seem too bad, at least when it comes to artistic freedom, in this movie, the movie actually feels that it's written by humans, it's a piece of art, the writer just trying to make a good movie the audience enjoy watching and that's it, that's why the characters are so likeable, of course I love the villainess the most, but the heroes are so likeable too, especially Na.
Maybe it's me, but the heroine glasses seems to be without lenses.. finally after an hour watching the movie, we see our gorgeous villainss again.
The bad guys catch the heroes, try to kill them, Chi Pheo pushes Na into the water being tied, Chi Pheo frees himself and then go back to free Na from her ties and saves her, really nice scene, I actually thought she may die, very low probability, but how he swam up without her, it felt like it, anyway a good scene.
What makes Na character especially and better than 90% female heroes in Hollywood is that she's so likeable, you can't watch such character and say that you hate her, and I'm talking about the mainstream audience, she's the main character in the movie and heroes' fans will also finds her as their favorite character, she's not annoying or egoistic, it's a character that you can identify with, like and root for, for me the villainess is my favorite of course, and I wish if she had more active role in the movie.
